We have 12 pets in our home, currently. One is a foster dog, but the rest "belong" to us officially. (No doubt the foster dog will be staying too, eventually!) I decided to devote a post each month to one of our pets, so you can find out a little more about our family. This month our handsome highlight is Chalupa!
Chalupa is so named because he was found eating from a Taco Bell dumpster. He was brought to our local animal shelter, where I worked at the time, and he had a compulsive need to literally destroy everything in his cage a few minutes after it was cleaned. Besides being frustrating, it made him be labelled "un-adoptable".
That fateful day when it was time to say goodbye, I couldn't do it. I loaded him in a pet carrier & made him the newest member of my household! That was almost 14 years ago, and I've never regretted it!
One lesson I've learned from Chalupa is that if you feel like you need love, tell someone! Never hesitate to crawl into someone's lap and cry in their face until they give you the love you need! After all, if it can work for someone that undeniably has fish breath, it should work for you too!
